At the "INTERNATIONAL" Airport

Hello to you all, friend and fowl! I am egg-cited to be coming to you LIVE from the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT! The terminal is a-flutter with a collection of corpulent commuters, all of whom are waiting to be cooped up in a long metal tube. There are also a gaggle of grateful gadabouts and globetrotters who have safely arrived at their destination (and I am one of them)!

Here I am chicking out the excitement of the INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. This was incredibly egg-citing what with all the comings and goings!

The airport was a very busy place! As you can tell from this picture people were rushing hither and yon, and it was nigh on impossible to snap a photo without someone getting in the way!

Stay tuned over the next week as my (rubber) feathered friends and I travel the world in search of fun!

Chickie does Edmonton - Part I

Dear Bill,

Well have I found a treasure, did you know that a place like this existed in Edmonton!!

Not to say that we have not appreciated the care and attention you have bestowed upon us in the past, taking us to ALL your speaking functions, introducing us to all your new friends… but Bill this has been truly eye-opening. Have you ever seen goose bumps on rubber… ohhhh!
I was having flashbacks to my childhood as the warm glow of the sun shone in, the plants surrounded me, and my liberators told me stories of other such wonders here in Edmonton.

There is so much to do, so many places to see, we will have to Chick-it-out!

A Week of Chickens On The Run

Our Blog posting has received an email response (in reference to our photo from the first posting) from Bill:

…you swine chicken! Mooove off of that leather furniture! We’ve got a beef with your complicit use of the former Holly the Holstein just because you want to kick back. Stand near me and I’ll kick you back! How dairy do that? Angus Hereford from Ayrshire, President-Elect, Bovines Against Winged Liberators (BAWL)…

We emailed Bill, but we're not sure he received the note, so here it is:

Hi Bill,

Well, now I'm with my own kind...none of the chickens here
have feathers either! I really like it here, I might make this a permanent move.

Free at last, free at last!

I just wanted everyone out there who has been concerned for our welfare to know we are all in eggs-ellent condition. As you can see by the photo to the left, I am currently kicking back and relaxing.

My rubber-feathered friends and I have managed to make a break for it! You may think we're cracked, but we just needed to be free!

This blog is to keep everyone up to date with our activities, and as I am at the top of the pecking order it was up to me to post the first blog.

This was not a spur of the moment action -- this was a fully incubated idea! We were partying at this year's RSO/REO SnowBall when we noticed the whole wide world beyond the Faculty Club windows - and realized that we needed to be free to explore that world. We just don't want anyone to worry, and we don't want anyone to run a-fowl of the law.

Below is a record of the email correspondence that took place from Bill to RSO, and between our liberators and Bill, after we became free range.

Dear Colleagues: Foreshadowing likely dire future consequences, rustlers appear to have made off with the entire flock of chickens from Snow Ball 3 (truly poultry in motion). Given that fowl play is suspected, the RCMP are now on the case (that's the Riotous Constabulary for Missing Poultry) and the culprits are bound to be brought to justice. Either that, or the swine chickens will turn up in some foreign jurisdiction pleading for asylum because of political persecution (they wanted Morton) in the RSO/REO. If you have any information regarding this alleged crime, please ignore it -- I'll chick out all leads. What I really need is a capon crusader! Please stay tuned... Inspector Wattle, Pullet Security Services.

We're fine. Our
new friends are taking very good care of us. We consider them liberators not abductors. Rubber chickens just need to be free. We thought about this for a long time, we deliberated, we brooded...but now we know eggs-actly what we want. We have been cooped up for far too long and now we have an eggs-ellent opportunity to see the world! Call off your hounds, we're not coming home to another mindless round of seasonal festivities...there's more to life than a dusty briefcase or a desk drawer.

Don't cry for us, we'll keep in touch.
